Bible Genealogy Chart Adam To Jesus Pdf

The Bible genealogy is a record of the descendants of Adam and Eve, who were created in God’s image. It begins with Adam and Eve, continues through their son Seth, then to Enosh and so on down through history until it reaches Jesus Christ. This lineage is known as the “Family Tree of Man” because it depicts how we are all related. The Bible genealogy chart shows how each person was born from one man or woman who had no father or mother before them (such as Adam). Each person in this family tree lived thousands of years ago but they all have descendants today who carry their bloodline even though they may not know it themselves!

A genealogy is a list of ancestors. Genealogies are used to trace back family history, determine who is related to whom, and hopefully help color in the details of family history. This book contains a list of all the people from Adam and Eve to Jesus Christ. A complete bible genealogy chart showing all 84 generations from Adam and Eve down through Jesus Christ can be found here: http://www.geneallogycharts.org/familyhistory/pdf/AdamToJesusChartPDFCompleteVersion-FullPage4uppdf

The following table shows abbreviated information about each generation on a single page:

Adam

Adam was the first man, created by God. He was the first man to sin and he was also the first man to die. Adam was not buried in a coffin or casket, but he did come back from death because Jesus Christ rose from the dead on Easter Sunday morning!

Seth

Seth was born when Adam was 130 years old. Seth was the first child born after the Fall and thus, had no sin. Seth’s birth marked a new era for humanity.

Seth was born in the year after Adam was 130 years old. Thus, we know that he was born in the year after Cain killed Abel (Genesis 4:25).

Enosh

Enosh was the son of Seth, who was the son of Adam. He was also the father of Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared and Enoch.

Enosh lived 905 years according to Genesis 5:6-11. His name means “mortal” or “miserable”.

Here’s a summary chart for Enosh:

  • Father: Seth (son of Adam)
  • Mother: Eve (daughter of Adam)

Kenan

Kenan was the father of Mahalalel

Mahalalel was the father of Jared

Jared was the father of Enoch

Enoch was the father of Methuselah

Methuselah was the father of Lamech

Mahalalel

Mahalalel was the son of Enoch and the grandson of Cainan. Mahalalel was the father of Jared, who was the father of Enoch.

Jared

Jared was the father of Enoch and the great-grandfather of Noah. He lived to be 962 years old, which places him in the fifth generation from Adam. According to Genesis 5:15, he was born in the year after the Great Flood.

Enoch

Enoch was the seventh generation from Adam, and he was a great-grandfather of Noah. He is mentioned in the genealogy at Genesis 5:18-24.

Enoch lived 365 years, which is unusually long for a person of his time period (Genesis 5:21). During this time Enoch walked with God and did not die (Genesis 5:22-24). It states that God took him away to heaven because he could not be found on earth (Genesis 5:24).

Methuselah

Methuselah was the oldest man in the Bible. He is mentioned in Genesis 5, and his name means “when he dies it will bring death.” Methuselah died at age 969, which makes him one of the longest-lived humans ever recorded.

Methuselah’s son Lamech was also a prominent figure in Abraham’s time (Genesis 4:19-24). Lamech had two wives, Adah and Zillah; by them he fathered Noah (called Japheth), Tubal-cain (called Ham), and Naamah (who may also have been a wife).

Lamech

Lamech

Lamech is recorded as being a great-grandson of Adam, and the father of Noah. The Bible does not record how old he was when he died, however his son Methuselah lived to be 969 years old. Lamech is mentioned in the genealogy lists in Genesis 5:25-28, and again in Genesis 6:10-14. He is remembered as the first person recorded to have lived for 777 years (Genesis 5:31).

God created Adam and Eve in His own image. They had three sons – Cain, Abel, and Seth. When Cain killed Abel this left only two sons who passed on the bloodline to all of mankind. The Bible genealogy is a record of these descendants from the Creation up to the birth of Jesus Christ who is the Savior of the world.
