Bible Verses About Putting Others Down

Bible Verses About Putting Others Down

Putting others down is a sin and it is not ok.

Proverbs 29:20

“Do not say, ‘I will pay you back for this wrong!’ Wait for the LORD, and he will avenge you.” Proverbs 19:20 – 21

The world is filled with people who are quick to respond when they feel hurt or insulted. But God tells us that we should wait on him instead of seeking revenge ourselves (Romans 12:19). When we do this, our faith in God grows stronger and we can better trust him with our future.

Romans 12:10

Romans 12:10 says, “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”

This verse emphasizes that we must put others first and not be selfish. We should be kind and compassionate toward others, but also humble enough to recognize when we are doing something wrong or making a mistake. This is an important lesson for anyone who is striving to become the best version of themselves!

James 4:11-12

God is not partial, but he is the judge of all.

Mark 9:35

Mark 9:35 says, “If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a large millstone were hung around his neck and he were drowned in the depths of the sea.”

This verse is about putting others down or being guilty of judging others harshly. God does not want us to do either one of these things, because we are all sinners ourselves and He wants us to accept each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Romans 1:30

Romans 1:30 says, “They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers…”

This verse is a clear warning to us not to put others down. Not only is it wrong in God’s eyes, but we also hurt others by doing it! Instead of putting other people down when they do something wrong or have different opinions than you (which is not right), you should talk about their good points without being rude or mean-spirited towards them. That way both sides can learn from each other while still respecting one another’s opinions and views on life!

Micah 6:8

Micah 6:8 is a verse about how we should treat others. It’s about how we should treat our neighbors and enemies, but also people who are different than us.

Micah 6:8 says to “Do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with your God.”

This verse tells us that it’s our responsibility to do good things for others, even if they don’t deserve it.

1 John 2:9-11

  • John 2:9-11
  • “If you love me, obey my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever.”
  • “After this,” Jesus answered them, “you will see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

Putting others down is a sin and it is not ok.

Don’t put yourself down.

Don’t put others down.

Don’t put yourself above others.

Don’t put others above yourself.

Don’t judge others, and don’t allow yourself to be judged by anyone but God, who knows all your faults and still loves you anyway (1 Corinthians 4:4).

As you can see, God has a lot to say about putting others down. He tells us to treat others with respect and love and not just because it is the right thing to do but because he knows that we will receive blessings in return as well. If you have been putting others down or have been on the receiving end of this behavior then know that God loves each one of us just as much!
