how to dream about whatever you want

how to dream about whatever you want

Lucid dreaming is the act of being conscious in a dream. Simply put, it’s the ability to realize that you’re dreaming while in a dream. Many people use lucid dreaming for fun or self-improvement, but it can also be used for spiritual enlightenment. If you want to practice lucid dreaming and have an interest in this subject, then this article will guide you through some useful tips and tricks for achieving your goal of having lucid dreams about whatever you want!

Write down what you want to dream.

Write down what you want to dream about.

It’s not as easy as it sounds. You might think that if you write down the name of your dream job, then of course you will dream about it! It doesn’t work like that. Your subconscious mind doesn’t understand written language; it only understands images and symbols. So rather than just writing the name of your career goal, draw a picture of what that career looks like in real life: what do you wear? Where do you go? Who are your coworkers? Make sure this image is realistic—for example, if you want to be an actor but can’t imagine yourself getting up on stage or doing commercials, don’t draw yourself performing on Broadway in front of thousands of people; instead, show yourself standing on stage at school with only 20 other people in attendance (yet still applauding wildly!)

Listen to music with the goal of dreaming in mind.

There are a few different ways you can use music to help trigger your dreaming mind.

  • Listen to music that’s relaxing, repetitive and familiar. You can choose songs from your childhood or teen years, or just any song that you’ve been listening to for decades. This will give you a sense of nostalgia and familiarity, which will make it easier for your mind to dream about those particular memories.
  • Listen to loud or quiet music. Some people find that listening to loud music helps them sleep more deeply and feel more relaxed than usual; others prefer quiet sounds that don’t distract them from falling asleep (or waking up).

Stay in a light sleep state.

  • Stay in a light sleep state.
  • Keep your eyes slightly open and gaze in the distance. This can be done by resting on your back with your hands at your sides or by lying on one side with a pillow under the head and another under the knees. This position helps to prevent you from falling into deep sleep, which is not helpful for lucid dreaming purposes.
  • Focus on relaxing all parts of your body while taking deep breaths, focusing on each part as it relaxes—from feet to head—until you feel completely relaxed. Alternatively, visualize yourself floating on a cloud above everything that troubles you; this will help calm any anxiety related to dream recall.

Wake yourself up at 4 a.m. and go back to sleep.

  • Wake yourself up at 4 a.m. and go back to sleep.
  • Stay in a light sleep state for a few days, doing whatever it takes to stay awake while you drift off again.
  • Try your best to dream about what you want in this state, and record your dreams when they happen (if they can be remembered).

Bring your dreams into waking consciousness by recording them as soon as you wake up.

  • Keep a dream journal.
  • Write down your dreams as soon as you wake up.
  • Don’t get distracted by other things. It’s OK if it takes you a few minutes to get started on your journal entry—but don’t let yourself be drawn into doing anything else until you’ve completed it.
  • Don’t worry about what you write down, just get it down. It doesn’t matter whether or not it seems like gibberish or makes sense; the next step will help with that (see below). Your job here is simply to get the dream down on paper so that no details are lost. If there are elements of the dream that seem important, make sure they’re included in the entry; if there aren’t any such elements, don’t worry about them at all! Just focus on getting everything else done first before tackling those questions later in this process…

Follow these steps for the best chance of lucid dreaming about the topic of your choice

  • Write down your goals.
  • Listen to music that you associate with your goals
  • Tell yourself that you are going to dream about your goals
  • Stay in a light sleep state (this is when lucid dreaming happens) and wake up at 4 a.m., which is when most people dream the most
  • Practice these steps for at least one week

Now that you know the steps to take in order to dream about whatever topic you want, it’s time to get started! It may take some time, but if you follow these steps and keep at it, you will eventually be able to experience lucid dreaming. And once this happens, there is no stopping where your mind can take you.
