Prayer For Good Medical Test Results

Prayer For Good Medical Test Results

We all have times in our lives when we feel vulnerable and afraid. I know that my journey through illness has been one of those times for me. And so today, as I pray for God’s healing touch, I ask also that you join me in asking God to take away our fears and worries about tomorrow. In the midst of my life’s journey—whether it be one of health or illness—I invite you to pray with me today:

In the midst of my journey of illness or healing, I invite you to pray with me.

I invite you to pray with me.

I invite you to pray for myself, and for my family, friends, community and country. Pray for the people who don’t have jobs or homes or food. Pray for health care workers around the world who are caring for people in need without any support from governments or donors. Pray that people would be cared for when they are sick, regardless of their religion or ethnicity; that they would not be discriminated against because of their race/ethnicity/gender identity/sexual orientation/disability status/class status (or any other category).

Prayer nourishes hope in times of stress and trauma – we can do this together!

Lord, I will never understand why bad things happen to good people, and I don’t have the answers to the questions of suffering and pain.

I’m sure you have asked this question more than once, and perhaps wondered if there is a God at all.

You are not alone in your doubt and despair, but I can assure you that God is with you in your suffering, pain and fear. He knows it’s difficult to trust him when life hurts so much. But he promises to never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). He’s the one who gives peace (John 14:27). And he comforts us by his presence (2 Corinthians 1:3-4) because he loves us so much!

But I do know that you are a God who loves me and cares for me, so today I bring all my fears, worries and anxieties before you.

In the midst of our fears and worry, we can know that God is a God of love. He is a God who is strong enough to carry us through any trial, big or small. He is patient, loving and kind as we seek Him for comfort in our time of need. This is why we come together today: because prayer changes things! We come together because together we are stronger than our circumstances, than our worries and anxieties—together we can overcome anything!

When life becomes overwhelming with stress or fear—when you feel alone in your struggle—it is possible to find hope through prayer!

(personalize your prayer in this section)

If you are praying for a specific person, use their name:

  • “Father, please help Joe’s test results to come back negative.”

If you are praying for yourself, use your own name:

  • “Father, please help my test results to come back negative.”

If you are praying for a group of people or a situation (i.e., an illness), it’s helpful to include the group or situation in the prayer:

  • “Father, please heal all those who have been afflicted by this illness and bless them with wellness.”

Find strength in God’s love.

When you’re going through a difficult time, it’s important to remind yourself of your faith in God. He is the ultimate healer and protector of all things good. God is with you, and he knows what’s best for your life. In times like these, it can be hard to trust that everything will work out for the best—but if you keep your eyes on Jesus (and not on what may seem like an impossible situation), then you’ll find strength in his love and guidance.

In addition to being your savior, Jesus is also known as our friend: someone who cares about us enough to go through pain with us so that we don’t have to go through it alone. As such, he will guide us through any challenges we face in this life—even those challenges that come from medical tests or procedures designed by doctors who don’t recognize Jesus’ power over disease.[1] We should remember him when we’re feeling scared or anxious about upcoming tests; he’ll give us comfort during moments like these!

My prayer for good medical test results is that you will find strength in God’s love and peace in these troubling times.
