Prayer For Someone Who Had A Stroke

Prayer For Someone Who Had A Stroke

Strokes can be devastating, and they affect millions of people every year. A stroke is the loss of blood supply to a part of the brain, which causes damage to brain cells and can lead to paralysis or death.

A stroke happens when an artery that carries blood to your brain becomes blocked or bursts. The damage can happen in different ways, depending on where it happens in your brain:

Prayer to restore the heart, lungs and kidneys

  • Please pray for my brother who had a stroke while he was working out at the gym. He collapsed on the floor and had surgery to take care of an aneurysm in his brain. He is doing better but needs lots of prayers that his health will be restored to full strength. My mom prayed for him as well when she was sick but now she is up in heaven with God and my dad needs all of our prayers more than ever!

Prayer for total healing of left/right half of the body

Lord, our Heavenly Father,

You are the God of all comfort and ease. You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds. You bring health to the sick and make them whole again. By your grace and mercy, we pray that you would grant total healing to (Name).

Lord God Almighty, we adore you for who you are. We acknowledge that all good things come from you alone and ask that Your will be done in accordance with Your perfect plan for our lives. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.”

Prayer for full recovery of speech and memory

The power of prayer is awesome. It can help you through the healing process, and God will be with you every step of the way.

While doctors may not know everything about how a stroke affects speech and memory, they do know that healing takes time. That’s why it’s so important to keep talking to your loved one—and asking them questions—about what they remember from before their stroke. Asking someone who has had a stroke to repeat something is a good way for them to test their memory and see if it improves over time.

It’s also important for caregivers or family members not only to listen but also encourage communication when possible by asking questions or offering suggestions about what might work better than others have done in similar situations in the past.”
