Prayer For The Start Of A New Academic Year

Prayer For The Start Of A New Academic Year

Dear Lord, As the new academic year begins I pray that you would keep our children safe as they travel to and from school.

I pray that you would give them a safe place in which to learn and grow and develop their talents. May their teachers be filled with your wisdom and grace as they teach the curriculum, instructing the children in a way that is best suited to their abilities. Help us Lord, as parents and guardians to build a strong foundation of love, patience and gentleness, as we seek to bring up our children in a way that is right before you – teaching them the ways of the Lord. We pray that you would bless the work of their hands, help them to do well at school and go on to become diligent workers in their chosen field.”

Dear Lord, As the new academic year begins I pray that you would keep our children safe as they travel to and from school.

I pray that you would protect them from evil and harm in any form.

I pray that your angels would surround them and guard them all day long, watching over each child as they walk through the halls at school or roam around the playground after school has let out.

I also pray that you will protect them from accidents or illness while on their way to or from class, whether by foot, bike or car… no matter how short a distance it may be! And if any of our little ones gets injured (or even falls ill), please heal them quickly so their teacher does not have worry about their well being during class time.

I pray that you would give them a safe place in which to learn and grow and develop their talents.

This is an important prayer for parents, schools, communities, countries and our world as a whole.

  • Teach them to write, sing and pray. Teach them to love one another and to be kind to all on earth. Teach them not to fear evil but overcome it through good works.

Teach them that the Lord loves all of his creation equally, but has a special place for those who follow him truly and faithfully throughout life’s journey.

Help us Lord, as parents and guardians to build a strong foundation of love, patience and gentleness, as we seek to bring up our children in a way that is right before you – teaching them the ways of the Lord.
