Prayer For Someone Going Into Surgery For Cancer
I pray that you will be with me during this surgery and the days following it. Please bless the hands that serve me, give them skill and wisdom beyond their own so that my illness may be healed according to your will. Guide and direct those who care for me, give me such confidence in the power of your grace that even when I am afraid, I may put my whole trust in you through Christ our Lord. Amen
Dear God,
Dear God,
Please heal (insert person’s name) from the cancer that has been discovered in her/his body. Please give her/him peace and comfort during this time of uncertainty, and strengthen them so they may face this new challenge with courage. Help their friends and family members be supportive of them as well. Please provide healing for all who are involved in this situation. And dear Lord, please guide the surgeon and their assistants so they can make the best decisions to help your child’s health. We know that You will take care of us in our time of need, so we put our trust in You now as we wait for news on how surgery went or if it was even needed at all! Amen!

Please be with me during the surgery
- God is with you.
- God will be with you during the surgery and recovery.
- God will help you heal and recover from this surgery, no matter how long it takes or how painful it is to go through this process of healing and recovery, because we know that there’s an end in sight, even though it may seem like there isn’t right now!
- Please continue to pray for yourself and for your family members who are going through this difficult time as well!
and the days following it.

- The days following the surgery
Bless the hands that serve me.
Bless the hands that serve me.
Please help and heal.
Please be with me during the surgery, and the days following it, so that I will have strength in all things to do Your Will. Bless the hands that serve me. Give them skill, wisdom and compassion beyond their own. Guide and direct those who care for me, so that they may understand my needs without being told them; know what will help more than what may be wanted or expected; know how much touch is necessary at any given time; be aware of my level of pain even when I am not able to express it myself; anticipate those things which would cause distress or discomfort for me if not anticipated by someone else first (like medications).
Give them skill, wisdom and compassion beyond their own.

- Energize the surgeon with a divine presence that allows them to quickly identify where tumors are located, how best to remove them, and what needs to be done before surgery begins.
- Energize the surgeon with a divine presence that allows them to quickly identify where tumors are located, how best to remove them, and what needs to be done before surgery begins. The patient will feel secure knowing they are in good hands!
- Energize the surgeon’s assistants as they prepare for their roles during this procedure. They may not be able to see your handiwork at first glance but soon will notice your influence over those around you when it comes time for surgery!
Guide and direct those who care for me,
Guide and direct those who care for me,
That my illness may be healed according to your will.
Give me such confidence in the power of your grace,
That even when I am afraid, I may put my whole trust in you;
that my illness may be healed according to your will.
Use the prayer below to pray for yourself, a loved one or anyone going into surgery for cancer. God’s will is the best thing we can ask for in any situation.
Lord Jesus Christ, I come before you and ask you to look down upon me/myself and this person (mention their name). I am asking that my illness may be healed according to your will. Just as You willingly sacrificed Your life on the cross so that others could be saved from sin, so too do we ask that You would heal us of our suffering. We thank God because He always works good out of everything -even when things are bad! This is what gives us hope during times like these when surgery has been recommended due to cancer diagnosis…
Give me such confidence in the power of your grace, that even when I am afraid, I may put my whole trust in you;
When we are afraid, we can place all our trust in the Lord. When we are afraid, God is our refuge and strength. He is the one who heals us and saves us. He is our help when we have nowhere else to turn; he will protect us until his perfect plan unfolds before us. As you undergo surgery, I pray that you will put your faith in him as your healer, because he alone has the power to save and keep you safe throughout this process.
I pray that you will remember who you serve—that though there may be times of testing or trial ahead of you now, there are also many more days and years of joy-filled health ahead because of your relationship with Jesus Christ himself!
through Christ our Lord. Amen
Amen is a word that means “so be it.” It is an affirmation of faith in the word of God and it is used at the end of prayers, hymns and scriptures.
Amen also means “to affirm” or “to agree” (with something). The word amen literally means, “let it be so!”
The Hebrew word amen comes from the Hebrew root: amnion meaning to confirm or verify. Amen was used as an oath in ancient times when two people made agreements between themselves; for example: If I sell you my house for $10,000 today and you give me your money tomorrow, then we will have an agreement between us that if either one of us loses their mind tomorrow night during surgery for cancer surgery (surgery on brain tumor cancer) then this deal will not take effect until both parties are sane again – amen!
I pray for you and your loved ones. May God bless all those who are going through this difficult time in their lives and help them find strength to get through it with hope!
