Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace Lyrics

Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace Lyrics

Make me a channel of your peace, where there is hatred let me bring your love. Oh Master grant that I may never seek so much to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love with all my soul. Make me a channel of your peace. Make me a channel of your peace

#7: This blog post will walk you through writing a blog post on how to make an ice cream cake. It’s one in the series of “Let’s Bake” posts from The Kitchn!

Make me a channel of your peace.

Let me be the channel of your peace.

Make me an instrument of your love.

Let me not have to be concerned with myself, but only with you and your people. Make me one who can see that there is no way to peace except through you, and that any other way is simply a tactic of war.

Where there is hatred, let me bring your love.

May your love be my guide to peace.

Where there is hatred, let me bring your love.

Where there is injury, your pardon, Lord. Where there is doubt, true faith in you. To be understood as to understand. To be loved as to love with all my soul…

May your love be my guide to peace.

Where there is injury, your pardon, Lord

  • Where there is injury, your pardon, Lord!
  • Forgive us and forgive us again.

And where there’s doubt, true faith in you.

  • And where there’s doubt, true faith in you.
  • There’s a light that shines on ev’ryone.

Oh Master grant that I may never seek

Oh Master grant that I may never seek

To be consoled as to console,

To be understood as to understand,

To be loved as to love with all my soul.

For it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; It is in dying that we are born again to eternal life.Oh divine master grant me this grace which I now implore:That I may rise from my bed of sloth and sinfulness with the greatest haste possibleAnd may not only exercise my body but also my mind by reading good books dailyThat I may increase in grace and knowledge (II Peter 3:18)Every day of the yearMay your Peace Fill My Heart And Soulwith love and joy beyond measure!

So much to be consoled as to console.

Your peace is worth so much more than you know. You are a channel of it, and it flows through you to the people around you.

In times of suffering or sorrow, it can be hard for us to see this. We want so badly for those we love when they’re in pain that we try to fix the problem ourselves—that way, at least, if the problem is solved (even temporarily), then at least we feel like we have done something helpful. But sometimes peace is better than fixing problems. Sometimes peace just is what happens when someone else feels loved and supported enough that they no longer need or want anything from us anymore. It comes along with understanding how our own needs get in the way sometimes too—and how not everyone needs everything from us all the time either! And then there is room for what really matters: just letting go into each other’s arms without trying so hard…

To be understood as to understand.

You can’t really know someone unless you understand them. And to be understood, you must understand how they feel, first. As such, it is important to listen and speak with others—to become aware of their perspective and learn from them. That’s why we all need to remember:

  • To be understood as to understand
  • To be a good listener as well as a good speaker
  • To communicate clearly through writing and speaking skills

To be loved as to love with all my soul.

Love is a two-way street. It’s not just about how much you love someone, but also how much you’re loved in return. Love that’s one-sided isn’t real love at all; it’s just infatuation or lust. To be truly loved as to love with all my soul means that both parties must respect and trust each other, commit to the relationship and show their commitment through actions such as:

  • Giving up something significant for the other person (for example, your job/hobby/idea).
  • Sharing everything with each other (no secrets).
  • Making sacrifices for each other when necessary (for example, staying home from work when your partner is sick).

May I seek to help others rather than looking for help

  • When you help others, be sure not to expect anything in return.
  • Be the best version of yourself and help others without expecting anything in return.
  • Helping someone else is an act of kindness and selflessness, but it is also important that you do not expect reciprocation for this kindness or generosity.

We hope you enjoyed the lyrics to this famous hymn. We know how much it means, and we want to share it with you!
