Prayer For My Husband To Leave The Other Woman

Lord, I’m at my wit’s end with this situation. My husband has been unfaithful and now he wants to come back home but it feels like a really big risk for me to trust him again. I am not sure if I can ever trust him again after this affair but only You God knows what is best for us both.

Heavenly father, I have a humble heart. Hear my prayer and restore my marriage.

Now it’s time to pray. The Bible tells us in James 5:16 “Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed.”

When we pray, we acknowledge God as the giver and sustainer of life (Psalm 50:10), praise Him for his goodness (Psalm 145:1-6), request His help in times of need (Philippians 4:13), thank Him for answered prayers (Romans 12:12), ask Him to bless our lives (1 Timothy 2:1-4) and ask forgiveness when we have sinned against Him or others (Matthew 6:9-15).

I do not understand how this could happen or why it is happening, but I do know that we both need your guidance during these difficult times. Please guide him away from this other woman, and back into our marriage with love and compassion so that we can work things out together as a family should be able to do.

Lord please help me to overcome all the pain of being with a man that is not faithful, that has no interest in me and makes no effort to be part of our family.

I ask you Father God, I plead with you on behalf of my children that they be protected from the pain of a broken home. I plead with you on behalf of myself as a woman who has been hurt by the actions of her husband’s infidelity; I implore you Lord Jesus Christ for your mercy and grace upon my situation; help me find strength within myself and give me patience so that i will not lose hope or become angry at my husband’s actions…

Lord I know from your word that you hate divorce but God, my marriage is not good either. If he comes back for the wrong reasons, then it is not worth it but if it is because he wants to commit himself fully to me as his wife and us as a family then please move mightily on his heart.

Begin by praying that God will reveal to your husband what is in his heart. If he is coming back because he has realized the error of his ways and wants to commit himself fully to you as his wife, then we pray that He will move mightily on his heart. But if he comes back for any other reason, then it is not worth it.

God hates divorce and God’s word says that only He can save a marriage (Jeremiah 3:8). It is our prayer that your husband will be ready to commit himself fully to you as his wife and us as a family so that your marriage can be restored from the inside out!

You see Lord how this has affected our finances, our relationship with our children and also our relationship with You. It is so hard to trust someone when they have been unfaithful and I really don’t think that I can ever trust him again after this affair but only You God knows what is best for us both. I pray that You will move upon the hearts of those involved in this situation so that all parties can be reconciled into what is right. I ask for God’s wisdom in knowing what steps to take next because right now everything feels like such a mess. Thank you Lord!
